On the Needles

Whats up Crafty peeps? Your Crafty Bitch Sarah here bringing a hopefully new series of posts called What's on the Needles? I learned to knit while recovering from wrist surgery- hey the pain meds told me it was a good idea... so what is on the needles? Many things I have a severe case of startitis... I love knitting and I get so excited about starting new projects. Or see a new project idea and just jump on in. This year I am going to try to be better about FINISHING projects.

So currently on the needles:

  • plush cati finished one just need to sew together. currently working on the second one body is finished but need to finish the limbs
  • rainbow scarf seed stitch- I made some beautiful rainbow gloves that are convertible and still had some yarn leftover so I thought I would make a scarf to go with it
  • miter squares... I have the Hue Shift afghan from knit picks and this has been on the back burner for a few years...
  • quick baby washcloths- I always seem to have a coworker pregnant and am expected to make something. I consider it a compliment that they want knitted baby goods but I do get tired of making them things.
  • Santa and Mrs. Claus clothes- now this is mostly finished- I need to add the embellishments and string together for next year. I might even redo a few pieces. My only real complaint about this entire kitted project is that things are done flat as opposed to doing in the round. Some pieces were difficult to do flat. Plus a few pieces looked weird after seeming them up
  • always scrap mini face washcloths
  • beekeepers quilt
Yeah, always something on the needles ... What is on your needles? Who did you learn to knit from? What is your favorite project?
