End of year gifts

Alright I am not the best about making/getting/bringing the gifts to the kids teachers. Heck last year I made it but it sat on our counter until open house. Thankfully little misses 2nd grade teacher is her 3rd grade teacher. So that worked out. This year I tried to get ahead and make some crafts so I not scrabbling at the moment to get something done. I don't like to feel rushed. So I made some Personalized Starbucks cups and chap stick cards. Hopefully they will like these items! I got this project from idea from my favorite crafty box- Silhouette Life Inspiration Box.

Endgame Shirts

The past few years we have watched the new Marvel movie that comes out around our girls birthdays. Last year I made shirts for the first time using my silhouette and easy press. I knew I wanted to make shirts for Endgame since it is the end of an era. I stepped it up a notch. These shirts were a pain but I absolutely love how they turned out!

Glitter for the birthday girls!
I am not going to spoil the movie for people but it was awesome! Definitely pulled at the heart strings! There were tears from this gal here.

Making some baby items

Baby season is in full bloom. Co workers and friends are all having babies- baby fever is something I am glad not to be catching! This mama is done! I love making baby items except when it becomes obligatory. What is most aggravating is they want stuff but never send pictures of the baby using my stuff. Even if it is for a moment. Send me a picture it doesn't have to be a good picture. Let me know it was used and not just looked at. Just because it is hand made does not make it cheap! I put effort into it, you can make an effort to take a damn picture!
Baby goodies!
Special shirt for the big brother!
Simple booties!
I have had several co workers have little ones lately and to tell you the truth I made the minimum in obligatory baby knitting ( hell one is sitting on my desk and the baby is nearly one...). But a coworker who has gone through several rounds ivf is having a girl! She is the cutest little thing! So I wanted to make sure this little one got so homemade lovelies. Since it will be her first Easter I had to make her a cute onesie. Also whipped up a pair of baby booties. Along with some hats ( these may be too big for a while). Can’t wait for her to wear them!
Sweet Easter onesie!

Novelty yarn- a new obsession

Hey crafty bitches hope this day finds you well! Lets talk about my new knitting obsession-novelty yarns. In the past month I have bought two different types and made two projects that I really didn't need. The first was with a pompom yarn. I bought it in blue and white colored one made by red heart called pomp-a-doodle. This yarn is a sting separated by a pom pom. This was a difficult yarn to knit with and I cast on and ripped out many times. I finial settled on a stitch count I flew through the knitting in about a week. I made a mat or rug. Not really sure what I am going to do with it. M oldest said she would take it for her room, but left it here when she left...

The other is loopy yarn that you kinda weirdly knit with your fingers and I made a single wide blanket.  I am not sure what I am going to do with it. It is soft and squashie and I love it. Down side it is small. My minis will probably enjoy it. I thought I was running out of yarn and now I have a ball of this weird loopy yarn and not really sure what to do with it...

This is the problem with novelty yarns is that you have a very limited projects that you can use it for. I guess this is where making up your own. Well making patterns has always has been a short coming of mine I have never had much luck. I just don't have the patience to design, work and re work a project.
Pompon rug! Pain in the butt to knit!

Seeds of a scarf

Hey crafty bitches! Long time with out posting! I know! My work schedule got a little wonky or I just hadn't finished a  post..But I have several posts ready for the upcoming weeks.

I have been working on a seed stitch scarf to match my gloves that I made a few months ago. Loving the way it is turning out. I am a fan of seed stitch for yarn that has these long color repeats/self striping.

Needles : size four knit picks
Yarn Chloe ( hobby lobby. Don’t have the lot way in front of me)
Pattern- seed stitch ( or moss stitch) just cast out a width I liked.
Beginning of the scarf.
